For making the most of your retreat
On days you will be engaging with programming, commit to not taking in the news that day if that is possible for you and if that feels safe within your living situation. It will be there for you tomorrow. Ask a family member to call you if there are any emergencies that you absolutely must know about that day.
Practice limited-to-no cell phone usage as well - again, if possible.
Treat yourself also to some extra healthy food on these days. Kripalu has some great recipes online.
On your meal breaks, turn on some calming music to fill your home. Try Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall or Yo-Yo Ma.
