W2 Afternoon: Offerings

PRACTICE: FRAGRANCE MEDITATION (7M)

Smell the Fragrant Flowers Meditation  with Tony Samara


For this practice, have something fragrant next to you: flowers, a candle, essential oil in a diffuser, a cinnamon stick, incense.

PRACTICE: WALKING (~60M)

Get outside to do a walk. Option for another walking meditation, but choose consciously.

Journal: Consider the following prompts, watching for your being’s natural impulse towards health, well-being, and vitality:


How do you feel in your body and mind after today’s exercises?


Reflect on today’s exercises and the subtleties that you noticed while focusing your attention on your breath, your food, and the fragrances of life. What did you notice? Were you able to enjoy these very simple things that are always within and around you? (Please note, tonight you will also do a sound meditation.)


In what moments today did you experience joy? What did it feel like in your body? How can you create more opportunities for joy in your everyday life? 


Reflect on your normal eating habits. Do your eating habits make you feel nourished and healthy? What changes, if any, do you feel inspired to make? What are the first small steps towards these goals that feel sustainable for you right now as you are?


Reflect on the opportunities you give to yourself throughout a normal day to slow down and notice the simple things. How often do you give yourself breaks? How can you make this a more intentional practice in your life? 


Reflect on your habits to get outside and into nature. How would you like to include more time in nature in your life?


Which practices from today most resonated with you? What would you like to carry forward with you?
